2009 Mantioba Adult Provincials
The 2009 Manitoba Adult Provincials will be held on March 27, 28, 29, 2009 at the West Kildonan Legion, 1748 Main Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba.
FRIDAY:
Blind Draw
Registration: 6:00 pm - 6:30 pm
Play starts at 7:00 pm
Cost $10.00
SATURDAY:
Man and Ladies
Registration: 10:00 am - 10:30 am
Play starts at 11:00 am
SUNDAY:
To be announced
Dress code in effect.

2008/09 Provincials Qualifier Adjustment
Effective September 14, 2008
There will now be four ways for M.D.A.I. members to qualify for the Provincials:
1.) League Play: Any M.D.A.I. member who participates in a structured Provincial league (i.e. Pub-League, House Leagues) and is recognized by the M.D.A.I. during the 2008/09 season is entitled to participate in the Provincials. There will also be two MDAI hosted leagues - a Men's League and a Ladies League. For each M.D.A.I. member who participates in league play the cost to participate in the Provincials will be $100.00
2.) Provincial Ranking: Any M.D.A.I. member who has participated in a minimum of four (4) ranked singles tournaments during the 2008/09 dart season is entitled to participate in the Provincials for a cost of $150.00.
3.) 1-Day Qualifier: Each zone will be entitled to host a 1-day qualifier shoot in their respective zones. The qualifier must be held during the month of January 2009. For each M.D.A.I. member who participates in a zone qualifier the cost to participate in the Provincials will be $175.00.
4.) General Buy-In: Any M.D.A.I. member who has not participated in any league, qualifier, or a minimum of four ranked singles tournaments during the 2008/09 season is eligible to buy-in to the Provincials for a cost of $200.00.
Fee Deadline
Deadline for M.D.A.I. memberships and fees to play in the Provincials is set at Feb 28th. (Last day of February.)

| THE NATIONALS |

 A few dart players have asked me “Stuart, what are the Nationals and what is it like?”
The Canadian Nationals is the most prestigious darts event held in Canada. Believe it or not, you are not competing for a $5,000.00 cheque, you are playing for the right to be recognized as the Canadian Champion and representing your home Province as a team rather than being an individual. Yes, there are other things that come with it like representing Canada or getting invited to the World Masters but for me its competing against players from all over Canada and in some cases developing great friendships. Believe me, once you make Team Manitoba for the first time and walk into a venue with 100 dartboards set up its an experience you will never forget. I’ve been fortunate to play in nine previous Nationals and, sure, the novelty wears off a little bit but I guarantee you that Tuesday morning when you march in as a team with all the other Provinces and Territories then you will find yourself standing straighter and having that extra spring in your step. If you make it on to the Team, savor the moment, enjoy the week, make friends, show and earn respect and play your best. Though you may not think it you might just hear others saying “I wish our team enjoyed themselves as much as Team Manitoba does.”

The Provincials will be played at West Kildonan Legion on March 7 – 9, 2008.

AGM at 9:00 a.m. After the meeting there will be the Knock Out.
- Dress code is in effect - Dress pants and shirt with collar (No Jeans, Cords,
Rugby Pants, Spandex, Stirrup Pants, Sweats etc.).
- Proper footwear must be worn - no open-toe or open-back shoes.
- There will be no smoking or drinking while playing a match.
Deadline for drop-outs is February 28, 2008.
All drop-outs must be in writing and sent to the Tournament Director:
