Volunteers are needed for the Youth Nationals on May 15 - 18, 2008. We need help in the following departments: A maintenance crew available at all times in case of problems. At least 8 host province volunteers on Saturday to chalk during the singles events. Volunteers to help keep the place tidy, water jugs full, and whatever else comes up. Welcome fellow dart players to the 2007-2008 dart season. Why is this season so important you might ask? Well unless you have been living in a cave or brand new to the dart scene, this season the Nationals are coming to Winnipeg. It's been over 20 years since we hosted the Canadian Nationals so this season we get the honour in hosting the event.

This is where we need your help and that of your friends because there is a significant cost involved. A lot of people quietly behind the scenes have been working hard organizing this. The idea I would like to float about to you as the members is the following: If each member could somehow give or get a ONE hundred dollar donation then they would be sponsoring a board at the Canadian Nationals and the Canadian Open.

Is a hundred dollars in this day and age too much to ask for? A round of golf at Pebble Beach is $450 USD. We would gladly take installment payments of $10 bucks a month.This is our big chance to show that we as Manitobans are friendly and deserve this event. For those of us who have been to the Nationals and travelled to both coasts and in between wouldn't it be nice for that one week in June 2008 to be able to go out and get a Slurpee after the day's events. So I’m asking you dart players to write a cheque (no rubber ones), beg, borrow or steal (just kidding) the $100. I’ve got my $100 ready have you?
