 Manitoba Provincials 2023

To play in the MDAI Provincials to make Team Manitoba to play in the Nationals you must hold a current year MDAI/NDFC Membership, and you must play in your Zone qualifiers.

Please contact your Zone Chairs for dates and times of their qualifiers.

If you are unable to play in your Qualifiers, you can buy your way into the Provincials if you are the Top 8 on the MDAI Ranking List or if you played on Team Manitoba National Team the previous year for $150. The deadline for buying your way into the Provincials will be February 28th.

You can only play in one Zone qualifiers to qualify to play in the provincials.

The number of players going to Provincials for each zone will be based on number of players participating at their qualifiers. There are 24 spots for women and 48 spots for men available between Zone 1, 2 & 3 to participate at the Provincials.

All Zone Chairs must make sure after each qualifier they hold that they send in the completed draw sheets to the Provincial Director. Please make sure all names are first and last name printed clearly.

All Zone Chairs must have a list of their players that will be competing in the Provincials into the Provincial Director by February 28th. All Zone Chairs are to have their Provincial Players fee of $50 per person for all the players that will be playing in the Provincials to the Treasurer Glen Walker by February 28th.

Dress code is in effect throughout the whole provincials.

Shirt with collar and dress pants, cargo pants or skirt and no head gear

(Means no covering of head unless it is for a medical condition and no ear buds).

 

 

 

FORMAT OF PLAY

Will be playing Best of 3 games.

Top eight men and women who make Team Manitoba will go into a

knockout for positioning.

FRIDAY MARCH 17TH

Blind Draw – Registration Closes at 7pm

$10 per player

$500 to be added to the payout. All money will be paid out.

Play starts at 7:30pm

Open to everyone!

Format divisions of 4 or 5 (depends on numbers),

playing one game and everyone into a knockout playing best of 3.

 

SATURDAY MARCH 18TH

Registration Men’s and Ladies Closes at 9:00am

AGM FROM 9:30 AM TILL COMPLETION

Mens Round 1, 2 and 3 – Start after AGM (Could change due to time & numbers)

Ladies Play Round 1 - Start after AGM (Could change due to time & numbers)

 

 

SUNDAY MARCH 19TH

Registration Closes at 9:00 am

Play at 9:30 am

Men play last round 9:30am – till completion

Ladies play last round 9:30 am – till completion

Knockout will be played when done and any ties are played off.
